A young Royston golfer has put herself in line for a major world golf title.
Ava Gadsby was the winner of the qualifying event for the 2023 IMG Academy Junior Golf Championship, held at the Cambridge Country Club in Bourn.
The victory will send the 11-year-old to the US Final in San Diego in July where she will compete against hundreds of the best junior golfers from over 50 countries worldwide.
Dad Robin said: "She can’t wait to represent England in this prestigious event."
The IMG Academy Junior World Championships was founded in 1968 with previous winners including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Ernie Els.
The British Junior Golf Tour is the only way that a player from the UK can qualify for this tournament.
This was Gadsby's second win of the year after winning the US Kids event earlier in the month.
