Plans have been submitted for a 15-metre tall 5G mast just outside of Royston town centre.
Cignal Infrastructure UK Limited, better known has mobile network provider Three, launched an application last month to install a monopole and associated ancillary works, on land adjacent to 44 Barkway Road.
Consultations are currently open and will remain so until Friday, June 30.
Standing at 15 metres, the mast will tower well above the eight-metre tall neighbouring house and hedges.
5G mast applications have proved unpopular in the past, with plans for an 18m 5G mast outside a church in Royston rejected following an appeal from the developers last May.

"There is now a requirement to upgrade the Cignal Infrastructure UK Limited network to provide improved coverage and capacity, most notably in relation to 5G services," read the application.
"As with all 5G cells this is an extremely constrained cell search area. Options are extremely limited and the only viable solution that minimisesamenity issues has been put forward.
The mast will be positioned on a wide grass verge. Adjacent to the site is existing street furniture such as streetlamps, bollards, and fencing, which share similar vertical columns to the mast, supporting it in visually assimilating into the setting.
Nearby to the mast are clusters of tall, mature trees which provide natural screening for the mast, seeking to minimize any impact on visual amenities in the area.
