Royston's annual Light Party brought joy to more than 100 children and their families on October 31.
Celebrating its 15th year, the free event at Coombes Community Centre provided a vibrant alternative to traditional Halloween activities.
The party, organised by Churches Together in Royston and District, aimed to create a "safe and welcoming space" for families to enjoy.
Louise Bradley, one of the event coordinators and a representative of Royston Make Lunch, said: βIt was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves and to share the light of Jesus on a dark October evening.β
Attendees took part in a variety of activities, including games, cake decorating, and face painting, with a disco running throughout the evening.
Craft stations provided materials for creating tealight holders, fun peg insects, wobbly dancing people, and wooden beaded bracelets.

Guests were also treated to complimentary hot dogs and fresh fruit.
The organising team thanked all those who made the event possible.
This included the Brian Racher Charitable Trust and Churches Together in Royston and District for funding the event, the Coombes Community Centre for providing the venue, and all the volunteers who supported the event on the night.
