Students at King James Academy welcomed Royston councillors for a tour of the school.
County councillor Fiona Hill, county and district councillor Steve Jarvis, town councillor Elizabeth Freeman and community partnerships officer Becca Edwards visited the school on Friday, November 8.
The visitors met with the head and deputy head prefects, Key Stage 3 prefects and the primary and secondary student councils.
They were given a tour of the secondary site and then joined the student council where they were asked about issues affecting young people, including the environment, traffic, litter and bus routes.
The visit ended with a trip to the primary site, where they met with head of school Mrs Vince and head of primary Mr Linnane and answered questions from pupils.
