A Royston funeral director is putting on a charity panto to raise money for Garden House Hospice.
Andy Mcfadyen, of Newlings of Royston, and his colleagues are producing and starring in the panto in memory of Marilyn Ames, who died in September 2023.
Marilyn was a child star who appeared in TV programmes including Lift Off with Ayshea and Stars on Sunday.
She was signed by the record label CBS, who changed her name to Jo Ann Love, and once starred with the late Roy Orbison at the Royal Albert Hall.
Marilyn was also a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and her husband Les works for Newlings of Royston.
Les said: "The care from the hospice staff was amazing and we wanted to raise funds for this wonderful place as a thank you.
"Given Marilyn’s love of performing, the pantomime seems a very fitting way to do so."
