Club President Derek Pinner said: "It’s something we’ve been doing for many years, and every year we are amazed by Royston’s willingness to dig deep to help a really good cause such as this.
"Pudsey Bear came along to help, which always makes the children smile, and the grown-ups, often those who seemed least to be able to afford it, were as generous with their coins and notes as ever.
"Thanks to all our collectors, to Pudsey, and to Tesco for permitting us to collect at the store. But most of all, thank you, Royston!"
