The publishers of The Comet, The Herts Advertiser, The Welwyn Hatfield Times, and The Royston Crow have announced a new partnership.

Newsquest has been announced as the official media partner of the 2024 biz4Biz Herts Business Awards, which are recognised as the top business awards in Hertfordshire.

The awards event will be held at Tewinbury Farm Hotel on November 29.

The event will feature TV personality Nicki Chapman as host, and will also feature Michael J Fitch, who has performed for the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Georgia Barrow, editor, said: "We are delighted to partner with this prestigious event and to be able to promote all of the amazing business success in Hertfordshire across our own titles.

"Readers look to our publications in print and online to keep them informed and up to date on all the best in business in this region and there can be no better way to communicate this than by supporting these awards.

"We look forward to hearing all the great stories on the night."

The event will announce winners in 19 categories, including the Business of the Year award.

Biz4Biz chairman and founder Adrian Hawkins OBE said: "The awards always show us that the Hertfordshire business world has the ability to rise to the current challenges that we face and that both customers and staff are also put front and centre of all thinking when it comes to operation and future planning.

"In previous years we have witnessed many examples of best practice and each of the winners this month will no doubt prove worthy as their strength and resolve in business will have been well and truly proven."

The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance has been named as the charity for the 2024 event.

Lyndsay Wood, corporate fundraising manager for the charity, said: "We were the charity for the awards in 2023 and it was such an honour to tell more than 350 people from more than 70 businesses about our work – they were so generous in their support of our life-saving charity.

"We are delighted to be back for 2024."
