Royston's mayor attended a gallery open evening showcasing King James Academy students' GCSE art.
The event, hosted by Curwens Solicitors' Royston branch, was part of the Royston Arts Festival week.
Councillor John Rees also got to see the musical talents of the school's students.
Claire Fremann, curator of Curwens Art Gallery, said: "There was a great atmosphere to the evening with so many proud parents and families attending to see their child’s work on display and enjoy the musical performances.
