Wimpole Estate in Arrington will "sparkle brighter than ever" this winter with a series of new illuminated artworks.

The installations, which have been created by internationally renowned artists, will be on display from November 22 to January 1.

They form the Christmas at Wimpole trail, which has been designed by Culture Creative and produced in partnership with Sony Music and the National Trust.

A highlight for 2024 is Ros'O by TILT, which is made from clusters of five reeds in assorted shades and of various heights, rising up to seven metres high.

Cylindrical and flexible, these dainty wild plants, usually lining waterways, aim to "add a hip touch of glamour" to the surrounding forest.

TILT is a French artistic studio created in 2001, that focuses on the exploration of light and its interplay with art, architecture and space.

Their work is inspired by nature or everyday objects, which create a "dreamlike universe made of humour and poetry".

Another new installation is Paloma by Pitaya - which portrays a magnificent swarm of migratory birds which have settled down in the trees.

The birds are like urban origami, and have been installed organically in the branches.

Pitaya, founded by David Lesort and Arnaud Giroud, is a French creative studio which uses the medium of light for an "artistic and empathetic" vision.

These new artworks join Wimpole's existing popular illuminated trail, which features thousands of twinkling lights, seasonal scents, glistening baubles, sparkling tunnels of light and vibrant woodland displays - as well as a chance to glimpse Father Christmas.
