Small businesses in South Cambridgeshire are invited to apply for grants of up to £5,000 each in a new programme launched last week.

The support grants are available as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and are for businesses already trading with up to nine employees and with ambitions to grow.

Small businesses must be registered in South Cambs and must show a business plan demonstrating their ability to grow over the next two years, evidence of how funding will be used, and the number of jobs safeguarded and created.

They must also demonstrate how they will benefit the local economy and steps the business is taking to achieving carbon net zero.

Grants are available to fund website and brand development marketing campaigns, training for existing staff, commissioning of research or to go towards the use of workspace at South Cambs Hall, machinery, equipment, electric business vehicles, IT hardware or to renovate premises.
