Children at Roman Way Academy in Royston were visited by Starlight STEM planetarium as part of a week of science activities.
An inflatable planetarium was set up in the school hall, and children from nursery to Year 4 learnt about the wonders of the solar system.
Science lead Miss Albert said: "It was a chance for many of our children to experience something new and foster a love of science."
During the visit, children impressed the planetarium's host by using scientific vocabulary, with one five-year-old commenting: "Some planets are inhospitable as you cannot live on them."
The week concluded with a science fair which was also attended by parents and carers, and each class created an exhibit to showcase their learning.
