Southwell Court care home in Melbourn recently welcomed a skunk and other animals from Herrings Green Activity Farm.
The residents met rabbits, guinea pigs, a Northern Hawk owl, and the skunk from the Wilstead farm.
Resident Peggy, who is registered blind, said: "It was really lovely. The guinea pig sat quite happily on my lap and I was able to stroke him – it was really quite soothing."
Lisa King, manager at Southwell Court, added: "You could see by their faces that they really enjoyed seeing and cuddling up with the animals.
"Not many of us have had the opportunity to see or hold an owl on our arm, so that was lovely to watch."
