Therfield Heath became a "sea of blue" as runners and walkers turned out in their hundreds at the weekend to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
The annual Royston in Blue event saw 470 walkers and runners joined by volunteers from Royston Runners, King James Academy sports leaders, Royston Rotary and family and friends of the organising committee.
Teenage Cancer Trust gave a special thank you to Albie, Annabel, Arthur, Edward, Daniel and Ozzy from Year 2 at Icknield Walk First School, who raised an incredible £1,000 between them - far exceeding their initial target of £100.
Mum Sally Marchant said: "The kids from Year 2 at Icknield had a great time.
"It’s such a lovely inclusive event, quite suitable for those who had never run before, as well as those far more experienced."

The charity also thanked Julian Berry - who served as MC on the day - the Conservators of Therfield Heath, Royston Radio, Toby and his staff at the Heath Café, Hotel Chocolat for donating a raffle prize, and Charlie's Sweet Treats Stall and Gerry's Ice Creams for providing refreshments.
The Listing magazine provided free advertising for the event, while Blackdog Digital printed all the posters, race numbers and banners.
Royston in Blue was sponsored by Abbot Travel, Hanson Diamond Drilling, Johnson Matthey, NB Accountancy, Redrow, Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering, Tees Law, Trademark Kitchen & Bathrooms, TTP and Wellington Wise.
