Margaret House Care Home residents were joined by children from Barley and Barkway Federation School and Royston Mayor Cllr John Rees for a charity challenge.

The group completed 75,020 steps around the home's garden, accompanied by music from Royston Radio and followed by a picnic lunch with the children.

Margaret House wellbeing manager Lea-Ann Smith said: "We really appreciated the support of the mayor, who I think completed nearly every lap! 

"As well as Royston Radio and the children - we all had a great time together whilst raising money and awareness for a charity close to our heart."

The event supported The Big Step Out - a national campaign supporting unpaid carers - and Stepping Out, who provide carers with free days out.
