A group of 100 vulnerable children enjoyed a day out at Wimpole Hall thanks to volunteers and funding from Rotary clubs and supporters.
The annual event was backed by KidsOut, a charity which provides 'positive experiences and happy memories' for disadvantaged children.
Rotarians from Cambridge, South Cambs, Cambridge Sawston, Haverhill, Royston and Baldock all helped out on the day.
Despite a forecast of rain, the weather improved throughout the day and children were able to visit Home Farm and enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, kite making and flying, model train rides and games.
The ground was dry enough for everyone to sit and eat a picnic lunch, which was donated and delivered by Royston Tesco Extra, along with ice cream.
Before leaving, each child received a paperback storybook as a gift from Bow Books in Royston.

One of the organisers, Di Charles, of the Royston Rotary Club, said: "It was a fun day for all of us, not just for the children.
"Rotary would like to thank all those who helped out, and we would also like to give special thanks to Haverhill Town Council for their generous sponsorship."
The National Rotary KidsOut Day takes place every year, with more than 20,000 children taking part.
