Cyclists, walkers and people on scooters took part in the A10 Annual Awareness Ride to celebrate the off-road paths between Cambridge and Melbourn.

The event, which took place on Sunday, June 9, was co-sponsored by the A10 Corridor Cycling Campaign, CamCycle and the Meldreth, Shepreth and Foxton Community Rail Partnership.

Their aim is to improve safe and sustainable travel options for people living and working along the A10 corridor between Royston and Cambridge.

Detailed planning is now beginning on the Melbourn Greenway, which will allow for sustainable travel from Melbourn to Royston.

Susan van de Ven, chair of the A10 Corridor Cycling Campaign, said: "The A10 Annual Awareness Ride on June 9 saw another wonderful trek along the A10 path, enjoyed by cyclists, walkers and scooterers, ranging from toddlers to nonagenarians from far and wide - Royston, Melbourn, Meldreth, Bassingbourn, Shepreth, Foxton, Fowlmere, Stapleford, Trumpington and Cambridge.
