Royston Swimming Club has been awarded a community grant to fund its entry into a county-wide competition.
The grant of £190 from North Herts Council will enable the club to compete in the Hertfordshire Swimming League - Major League.
The league encourages friendly competition between neighbouring clubs, with the focus on taking part in a team event and building collaboration among swimmers.
Royston Town Council is encouraging more voluntary organisations, clubs and charities within the town to apply for grants.
Full details on how to make an application can be found at https://www.roystontowncouncil.gov.uk/.
Applications can be made at any time and will be considered at the next relevant full council meeting.
Royston Swimming Club members can take part in competitions from age nine.
