Members of the community were honoured for their contribution and awarded grants at Royston Town Council's annual town meeting.
The Mayor's Community Trust Fund Award Grants were handed out to organisations in the town.
Priory Quilters, Royston Arts Society and Royston Photographic Society all received grants towards the cost of venue hire for their Royston Arts Festival exhibitions in September.
Royston Speak Out Club received a grant towards the cost of their annual summer outing, while Home-Start Royston, Buntingford and South Cambs were awarded a grant towards the cost of their family Christmas party.
Mayor of Royston Cllr Lisa Adams also handed out Community Service Awards to recognise groups and individuals for their service to the community.
The Blake Close Christmas lights display team received an award in recognition of their hard work creating an annual display to raise money for charity.
Ray Munden received an award for his hard work and dedication to the Royston community, in particular the town's May Fayre and Historic Vehicle Show.
Finally, Caroll Young was awarded in recognition of her hard work organising the dog show at the May Fayre for the past eight years.
The night also saw reports given by Mayor Adams, Royston First BID, the chairs of the town council committees (including finance, planning, general purpose and highways), district councillor Ruth Brown, county councillors Fiona Hill and Steve Jarvis, and Sgt Lisa Perks of Herts police.
Electors were then able to pose questions to town, district and county councillors.
In her opening statement at the awards, Mayor Cllr Lisa Adams said: "Being elected as Mayor of Royston has allowed me to become more actively involved in the community - giving me the opportunity to reach out and support local people, charities and businesses.

"It's been wonderful meeting so many people whom have supported me on my journey.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my term as mayor with an inspiring 96 engagements officially so far.
"I am a true Royston woman born at Royston Hospital - and I intend to keep giving my time and energy to a town that has a great community."
