An urn containing human ashes has been stolen from a car parked at Toddington Services on the M1 southbound carriageway.
Police are appealing for information and the return of the ashes, which were taken on Tuesday, February 20.
A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police said: "The incident was reported to us just before 3.40pm on Tuesday, February 20 and, after following several lines of enquiry, we would like to urge anyone who saw anything, or who has come across the urn or the gift bag it was in, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 40/9686/24, or to hand it into their nearest police station."
