Royston Rotary Club is collecting cash and essential items for the people of Ukraine.
The collection will take place at Tesco in Royston from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, March 16.
As the war continues, more and more families are losing their homes and facing hunger. This has created a growing need for everyday non-perishable food items including pasta, rice and tinned goods.
Rotary will also be collecting toiletries, sanitary items, cleaning materials, cooking utensils, torches and batteries.
Cash donations are welcome and will be used to purchase food. These can be made at the Rotary collection point in cash or by credit card.
The Royston collection has been organised by Peter Homent, and the donations will be delivered to Felsted-based charity UK-Aid, who will then organise the transportation to Ukraine.
