Award-winning writer and comedian Rob Auton is returning to Cambridge Junction in February as part of a nationwide tour.

Rob will perform at 7.30pm on Friday, February 16, following a critically-acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August and an appearance at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in April.

The show is suitable for ages 16+. Tickets cost £14.50 and are available from https://www.junction.co.uk/events/rob-auton/ or by calling the box office on 01223 511 511.

Exploring feelings and memories from his daily life, Rob's 10th show is titled The Rob Auton Show, and features his own life as the central theme.

It follows on from his previous nine Fringe shows on certain themes, which blend comedy, theatre and spoken word.

Themes he has explored previously include 'yellow' in The Yellow Show, 'hair' in The Hair Show and 'time' in The Time Show.

A review of Rob's latest show in The Independent said: "Beautifully crafted; just like Auton’s comedy… his act is well honed and his ease is infectious…

"Watching, you’d struggle not be swept up in the charm of it all."

The Arts Desk also praised Rob's performance, saying: "Heartfelt but packs some very big laughs…

"This is a finely crafted show, with great callbacks, and his last routine – delivered with passion – acts as a reminder that we all here for the human experience."

Dubbed 'the Fringe's comedy laureate' by British Comedy Guide, Rob had a clip of him performing on Stand-Up Central With Rob Delaney go viral, and his podcast The Rob Auton Daily Podcast was announced as the British Podcast Awards 2020 gold winner for 'best daily podcast'.
