The Woodman Inn in Nuthampstead donated 50 cuddly polar bears to Lister Hospital in Stevenage over Christmas, which were delivered by motorbike.
A group of 14 motorcyclists, led by enthusiast Gavin, gathered at the pub for bacon rolls and coffee before loading the polar bear toys into their top boxes.
The convoy then delivered the toys to Lister Hospital, aiming to bring smiles to the faces of patients on the children's ward.
Accompanied by Martin Prescott of Nutwood Pubs, which runs The Woodman, the motorcyclists handed the toys over to nurses on the ward, who thanked them for bringing joy to children in hospital over Christmas.
A spokesperson for Nutwood Pubs said: "The motorcyclists, who volunteered their time and effort for the collection and transportation of the soft toys, exemplified the spirit of altruism that strengthens community bonds.
"This benevolent act not only underscores the capacity of local businesses and individuals to make a meaningful difference but also emphasizes the enduring power of community initiatives in spreading joy and compassion.
"Beyond being simple gifts, the soft toys now finding new homes with the young patients at Lister Hospital serve as poignant symbols of community care and support, especially during challenging times."
