John O'Conner Grounds Maintenance cut the grass on Thursday, October 5, and on Sunday 8 members of the community rallied to help rake up the cut grass for recycling.

On the evening of Monday, October 9 a group started a fire which caused damage to the play area and was extinguished by the fire service.
A spokesperson for Sun Hill Common said: "It would be a sad day if a minority ruin the area for the vast majority that greatly enjoy the space."
There are plans for planting and new signage on the common in the coming months.
