Artist Frank Douglas will be displaying his portraits of pets and people at Curwens Art Gallery in Royston.
Frank produces his pet portraits in colour using Polychromos artist colouring pencils, and his people portraits in pencil - as well as designing logos, birthday cards and tattoos.
He started drawing animals using a pointillism technique - using dots of colour in patterns to form an image.
Frank said: "I started with pointillism animals with a twist and then became interested in creating wildlife awareness pieces.
"The first being a rhino protesting poaching, followed by an orangutan losing habitat to palm oil production.
"When I drew a dearly departed pet dog for a friend the reaction was priceless which has made me switch my focus to pet portraits.
"All the while producing cartoon mashup and comic book art. My passion is creating art that makes people smile."
Curwens Solicitors offers a place for local artists to display their work, facilitated by solicitor Mark Fitzpatrick.
Gallery curator Diana Smith said: "It can be a daunting step to display your artwork and I find it satisfying to encourage artists to showcase their brilliant talents.
"Seeing the comments on local social media sites from people who enjoy the changing window displays and applaud Curwens for donating their space, makes the hard work worthwhile.

"It’s always a lovely, relaxed atmosphere at the open evenings as visitors sip a glass of wine whilst they view the variety of artwork on sale and sample the professionally made nibbles.
"As well as providing the full range of legal services Curwens are also lucky that one of their solicitors, Mark Fitzpatrick, facilitates the art gallery and, as an ex-chef, caters for the open evenings.
"When Frank met Mark he thanked Curwens for the opportunity to exhibit in the gallery."
Frank's work can be viewed at Curwens Solicitors from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
An open evening will also be held at the gallery from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 23, with a chance to purchase prints or discuss commissions.
