The Rotary Club of Royston is seeking an alternative venue for Royston Kite Festival, which they have organised for the past 30 years.
This comes after a long period of discussion with the Conservators of Therfield Heath - which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Rotary Club president Peter Mitton said: "It is unfortunate we have been unable to reach an agreement to stay on the Heath after this year. The festival has raised approximately £100,000 for local charities.

"However, we hope we can find another suitable site for the future. We are now reaching out to the local community to find suggestions for another location.
"It would preferably be somewhere within easy reach of Royston, with good access and parking, a large area for an arena and stalls and an ideal setting for flying kites."
The festival will be held on the heath on August 6.
