After a successful debut in 2022, music and comedy festival Sound & Vision Cambridge is returning with new venues for 2023.

The festival runs from Thursday, April 20 to Saturday, April 22.

More than 60 acts will perform in venues across the city, including the Junction, The Portland Arms, The Blue Moon, The Six Six, The NCI and Thirsty.

The line-up highlights the best of new music locally and nationally, which acts such as Nuha Ruby Ra, Bleach Lab and Treeboy and Arc.

The festival also hosts a regular night for new local bands - The Fiver - on Friday, and the new folk night New Routes on Saturday.

This year also debuts a new collaboration with Love Music, Hate Racism, who are curating a night at the Blue Moon.

Meanwhile the Cambridge Fringe Comedy Festival will host shows across five venues, including returning headliners Ahir Shah and Nick Helm and rising stars Tadiwa Mahlunge, Njambi McGrath and Mary O’Connell.

On Saturday, April 22 there will be a full day of comedy on the Fringe's home turf of Mitcham's Corner from 12pm to 10pm.

Final year music and audio technology students from Anglia Ruskin University's 'Cambridge School of Creative Industries' are curating and managing a full day of pro-audio and music industry talks and panels, which will take place at the Junction on Thursday, April 20.

The conference sessions include 'Let The Music Play: Surviving and Thriving in the Streaming Era' and 'Anyone Can Play Guitar: Access to Opportunities in the Music Industry'.

Friday, April 21 is the Sound & Vision industry day, which will feature panels, networking events and a Q&A, where people can learn from industry big-hitters about establishing sustainable creative careers.

Wristbands are available for full access to all festival shows, or all conference sessions, or both. Limited numbers of individual tickets are also available for each show.
