The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) at Bassingbourn Village College won £500 for the school as part of a community fundraising scheme.
The college is raising money to upgrade its sound and lighting equipment, so they can more easily put on productions and so students can learn how to operate the equipment backstage.
To raise funds, the PFA applied for the Asda Foundation's Green Token Community Fundraising scheme, and won the cash prize thanks to votes from supporters.

The college has also run a disco, a Christmas cash draw and a second-hand uniform sale to raise money for equipment.
Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner will meet the PFA at the end of March in the Asda Cambridge store, to demonstrates how the funding supports the community.
