Students on the Mandarin Excellence Programme at Melbourn Village College took part in a celebration of Chinese New Year as a reward for their dedication to learning Chinese.
The Chung Ching dance group visited the school and performed the Lion Dance - a traditional Chinese dance to bring good luck, accompanied by a drum and cymbals.
Headteacher Christopher Bennet took part in the lion awakening ritual, and the lion gave out red envelopes to randomly selected students.

Head of languages Frank Fan said: "Our Mandarin team have done a great job and made this event extremely successful."
