The Mirror Crack'd - a new production of an acclaimed Agatha Christie adaptation - is heading to the Cambridge Arts Theatre.

The story was adapted by Rachel Wagstaff, who is known for her adaptations - including The Da Vinci CodeThe Girl on the Train, and Birdsong - and produced by the award-winning Original Theatre.

Adapted from Agatha Christie's The Mirror Crack'd From Side to Side, the play joins Miss Marple in 1960s England.

Facing a period of great social change, the village of St Mary's Mead appears different. A new housing estate makes the villagers curious and fearful, and a rich American film star has bought the manor house.

Jane Marple, confined to a chair after an accident, is wondering if life has passed her by. Then there is a vicious murder, and Miss Marple must unravel a web of lies, tragedy and danger.

Agatha Christie has a long-standing connection to the theatre, as she was one of the first people to donate to Cambridge Arts Theatre when it opened in 1936.

Rachel Wagstaff's adaptation The Mirror Crack'd first toured the UK in 2019 to great acclaim.

The new production once again stars Susie Blake as Miss Marple. Blake is best known for her work on Victoria Wood's As Seen on TV, Coronation Street and Mrs Brown's Boys, but she has also worked extensively in theatre.

Her theatre credits include but are not limited to Fisherman's Friends: The Musical, My Fair Lady, Wicked and Noises Off.
