Cambridge International Jazz Festival is returning this month, featuring headline performances from jazz superstars Courtney Pine, Omar and Zara Macfarlane.
The festival runs from Thursday, November 10 until Sunday, November 27, with more than 40 events taking place across multiple venues.
Broadcaster, writer and bandleader Alyn Shipton will be in conversation with internationally famous clarinettist Adrian Cox about his new book On Jazz, from 6pm to 7pm on November 19 at St Andrew's Street Baptist Church.
Master of Jesus College Sonita Alleyne will host musician Orphy Robinson at the college from 2.30pm to 3.30pm on November 27, in a session on developing your creative practice.
Helena Debono will perform from 9pm to 11pm on November 18 at The Tipsy Vegan, and Brazilian band Cores Do Samba will perform at Bar OH from 8pm to 11pm on November 19.
The Andie Bowie Quartet are performing the music of John Coltrane at the Tram Depot on November 20, from 8pm to 10.30pm.
Cambridge-based band The Gravy Train will make an appearance at La Raza from 8pm to 11pm on November 20, and duo Kevin Flanagan and Dave Gordon will perform at The Tipsy Vegan from 9pm to 11pm on November 25
Mingusology are returning to Shepreth at Hot Numbers Roastery with a 100th anniversary concert for Charles Mingus, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm on November 26.
From 2.30pm to 5.30pm on November 27, The Tall Trees Jazz All Stars with Sam Miles will play the music of Thelonius Monk and Wayne Shorter at The Tall Trees.
The Joseph Septet, which features student jazz musicians, will perform from 9pm to 11pm at Jesus College on November 27.
Finally, the Phil Stevenson Trio will perform from 8pm to 11pm on November 27 at La Raza.
Parket's Tavern Bar at the University Arms will also feature jazz performances every Friday evening from the Sam Miles Trio and the Andy Bowie Quartet.
