There’s still time to bid to win free tickets to the county’s top tourist attractions.
The fourth Herts Big Weekend takes place on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, during English Tourism Week 2019.
A record-breaking 61 attractions across Hertfordshire have donated thousands of tickets and activities to the event.
Run by Visit Herts, the county’s residents are invited to celebrate tourism, discover or rediscover what’s on their doorstep, and tell their visiting friends and family.
But hurry, the free ballot closes on Sunday, March 17.
Families can put their hat in the ballot for a chance to win free pairs of tickets, and in some cases family tickets, to leading attractions and tourism businesses, including entrance to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Knebworth House and Gardens, Hatfield House, The Natural History Museum at Tring, Alpaca Adventures, Hotel Cromwell in Old Stevenage, Shepreth Wildlife Park, Vertigo Adventures in Welwyn Garden City, and tower tours at St Albans Cathedral to name but a few.
Residents have until March 17 to visit www.hertsbigweekend.co.uk and bid for any of the 2,400 tickets up for grabs.
You can apply for as many tickets as you like.
Last year 33,000 bids were made.
Experiences on offer this year include close encounters for animal lovers, brewery and vineyard tours and tastings, high speed boat trips, rounds of golf, river tours, railway adventures, shopping experiences and family activities.
Winners will be selected by random ballot and will receive a maximum of two tickets per household.
Family tickets are also on offer for some attractions.
The ballot closes on Sunday, March 17, but there will still be chances to bid for returned tickets after this date.
This ballot is only available to people living in Hertfordshire.
Residents aged 18 and over can apply for tickets to any of the attractions listed.
Attractions that are already free to enter will be offering a range of extras such as guided tours, refreshments and special gifts.
